Can a US resident buy this?
Yes, on TradeLocker or TradingView. Not on MT4 or MT5.
We tested it. We opened their checkout from a US connection. It preselected United States, listed all 50 states plus DC, and offered only TradingView and TradeLocker. Switching the country to the UK added MT5 and MT4. The checkout enforces the rule, so you can't pick an MT platform by mistake.

Every Eightcap Challenges code we tested
Search results and AI answers list bigger numbers than the code above. We applied every one at Eightcap Challenges’ own checkout on Oct 1, 2026. 1 has expired or doesn’t exist, 1 gives less than advertised, and none of the working codes beats ours.

The fine print, in plain English
Taken from their own pages. These are the rules most likely to cost you money.
No MT4 or MT5 for US residents
If you trade on MetaTrader, this isn't your firm. With a US billing address the checkout only offers TradingView and TradeLocker, so plan to learn one of those.
There is a cap on each payout
Profit above 5% of the account (One Phase) or 10% (Two Phase) in one payout cycle is forfeited when the account resets. On a $100K One Phase, the most you can be paid out from one cycle is the 80% split of $5,000.
One big day doesn't count in full
No single day may make up more than 50% of a Two Phase target, or 30% of a One Phase payout request. Profit over the limit doesn't count toward that target or request. The rest of your progress still counts.
No trading around high-impact news
Trades within 10 minutes either side of a high-impact release are a soft breach. Your account stays open, but you lose the profit from those trades. For US traders that includes NFP, CPI and FOMC.
30 days without a trade closes the account
The inactivity rule terminates an account after 30 consecutive days with no trades, and fees are never refunded.
The Day Trader Challenge isn't covered here
Eightcap also sells a Day Trader Challenge: a fixed $10K account, a $5–$500 stake and 1–8 hour sessions. It's a different product from the evaluations above, and we haven't checked its US terms yet.
ID check once payouts pass $1,000
KYC is triggered by cumulative payouts above $1,000, not per request. You need ID and proof of address issued in the country where you're a legal resident.
What we found
Things you won’t read on their homepage

No working Eightcap Challenges code beats 20%. We applied every code in Google's AI Overview at their checkout: the 24% code has expired, and the code billed as 25% applies 20%.
- 02
Their trading day starts at 00:00 server time (UTC+3 in summer, UTC+2 in winter). Their clock change follows the US one, so for a New York trader the day always rolls over at 5:00 PM ET. The daily drawdown resets an hour later, at 6:00 PM ET.
- 03
We applied USA20 at Eightcap's checkout from a US connection on 1 October 2026: the $5K Two Phase went from $59.00 to $47.20, a 20% discount, with the message “Coupon code applied successfully”.
- 04
We tested the checkout from a US connection on 1 October 2026. The platform menu changes with the billing country: TradingView and TradeLocker for the US, all four platforms for the UK. No US state is missing from the state list.
- 05
The US answer is on their own FAQ, worded as a yes. Most review sites list Eightcap Challenges with a Seychelles flag and say nothing about whether an American can buy.
- 06
Hedging is defined broadly. Long EURUSD plus long USDJPY counts, because both are opposing USD exposure. So does long SPX500 with long VIX. That matters if you trade correlated pairs.

FAQ
Eightcap Challenges: common questions
Can I buy an Eightcap Challenge from the United States?+
Yes, on TradeLocker or TradingView. Eightcap's FAQ says US residents can purchase on those two platforms and are restricted from MT4 and MT5. We read it on their site on 1 October 2026.
How much does an Eightcap Challenge cost?+
Two Phase runs from $59 for $5K to $1,199 for $200K. One Phase runs from $69 for $5K to $1,299 for $200K. Both are one-time fees with no monthly charge, and fees are not refundable.
